Take the TGV (high speed train) to either Aix-en-Provence (the station is out of town in the country but sign posting is good. Take the direction Aix) or Marseilles. There is no advantage either way. Take autoroute to Aix-en-Provence and follow above instructions. There is a train link to Manosque from Avignon.

From the North take the autoroute via Lyon, Avignon (A7 - E15) to Aix-en-Provence (A8 - E80) and proceed as above. From the West, take the autoroute through Arles, Salon-de-Provence to Aix-en-Provence and as above. From the East, take the autoroute (A8 - E80) via Nice, Cannes to Aix-en-Provence and proceed as above (by air).
Once off the autoroutes, the roads in Haute Provence are everything from straight fast roads in valley bottoms to tiny, former cow paths paved over. So be prepared for everything including drivers who do not move over. Expect anything from a flock of sheep around the next bend to a giant cement truck or tour bus. Feel free to honk before you enter a blind bend. They do.
Bicycle riders own the road and do not move over even for their own safety, so be very careful.

The Michelin Atlas Routier France is even better since it covers all of France in great detail. The cost of petrol/essence/ gas/diesel makes one saved navigation error the price of the atlas.
